Creating The Video Buzz With Viral Video Marketing
Wouldn’t it be great if we all could create videos that circled the internet like a viral tycoon? Well, for the majority of us, that would be nice but for others, they are unsure about viral video marketing and still don’t appreciate the power that their videos could hold. I have created many videos that have plain dead dropped like a lead balloon but I live to fight another day and I will never give up making videos.
Creating videos that keep your audience capitivated is a bit of an art form when you consider the average attention span of the human being is around 8 seconds. You have 8 seconds to get the viewer hooked enough to continue watching your video. To overcome this very short attention span, the first thing you should try when producing your video is to drop some thumbnail images in your video every 8 seconds apart. YouTube uses a specific image frame that displays images in the centre of videos, so that is enough to keep the viewer glued to the screen.
If you have managed to keep the viewer happy, they will most likely read what you have inserted into the description box of your video to find more information. If they get this far, they are interested in learning more about what you have to offer so make sure the information is relevant to your videos content.
Lets not forget that we live in a society that thrives on information and we are always on the look out to learn something new and exciting so provide your viewer with something to get their teeth into. The secret here is to provide value, something that your viewer can take away and feel good about. If it is valuable, there could be every chance that they could embed your video on their website or even email it to friends or their members. This is what viral video marketing is all about and how it starts.
The final thing that I am going to cover in the creation of your video is probably the most important thing that you need to do and that is be very sure that you have a strong call to action. There are a couple of things that you can do at this stage. You can ask your viewer to visit your website, leave a comment or even rate your video. Your polite call to action will entice your viewer to doing one if not all these things because the last thing that you want is your viewer to leave without doing anything. Sometimes it takes a litle push to get someone to do something and that is exactly what your call to action does. If you can get visitors to rate your video, it will help it move higher on the video sites that you have posted it on. If you can get vistors to embed it on their website, then that is even better especially if their website has a lot of traffic flow.
